About

I’m a researcher in the University of Salzburg’s EO Analytics group, working on Semantic Earth Observation Data Cubes - the platform and their use. Previously a software developer, a fondness for travel, the outdoors and nature led me to Geoinformatics at Paris-Lodron-University of Salzburg’s Z_GIS. I also try to make use of notes from a life before that, of electronics and multimedia technology.

2021 - now

• Working as a researcher/software engineer in the University of Salzburg’s EO Analytics group.
• Completed an MSc in Applied Geoinformatics at the University of Salzburg (March 2025).

2018 - 2021

• Various web contract/freelance roles, from .NET to PHP and JavaScript/TypeScript.

2010 - 2018

• Studied Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems at the University of York, graduating with a MEng in 2011.
• Worked mainly as a desktop C#/.NET developer, various domains including geology, health & fitness, and finance. Contract/freelance since 2018.
